Pressure forming

The pressure forming is a thermoforming technology similar to vacuum forming, in which a heated plastic sheet is drawn into the mold cavity by a vacuum on one side and pressed against it by compressed air on the other, allowing this technology to better follow the contours of the mold.

Vacuum forming

Vacuum forming is a plastic forming technology in which the desired shape is created by heating a plastic sheet and applying a vacuum. During the process, the plastic sheet is first heated evenly, then the softened sheet is pressed onto the forming mold using a vacuum, where it takes on its final shape after cooling.

Extruding

Plastic extrusion is a continuous forming process in which a solid raw material - typically in the form of pellets or fine granules - is fed through a heated extruder barrel by the rotating motion of the extruder screw, where it is heated to form a homogeneous melt.

About us

1992

As a privately owned Hungarian company, Pro-Form Kft. has more than 30 years of experience in thermoplastic processing. The company began its operations with vacuum forming, but as a result of customer demands and a constant drive for internal development, it now employs four core plastic processing technologies.

2001

Driven by internal motivation and pressure from several multinational companies on our list of references, our company underwent its first audit in 2001 in accordance with the ISO 9001 quality management standard, thereby implementing a comprehensive management and food safety system within our company - a system that is essential for succeeding in the market and achieving our goals.

2016

Keeping our goals in mind and following thorough preparation, in 2016 we successfully underwent an audit in accordance with the latest, 5th edition of the BRC (British Retail Consortium) food safety standard, which is currently the global food industry directive with the most stringent requirements. The high-level Grade A rating achieved during the audit assures our current and future partners that our standard and biodegradable disposable, microwaveable, and sealable boxes and tray inserts produced via extrusion and thermoforming for food and non-food packaging meet the highest possible standards in terms of both hygiene and quality.

2020

This year, we expanded our equipment with new, high-performance molding machines, a water grinder, a water cooler, and a compressed-air molding machine. The acquisition of these machines increased our capacity in terms of extensivity, but also created the opportunity for a generational machine upgrade in terms of intensivity, which significantly boosted our efficiency and production reliability.

Our produced waste are handled in a selective way, reproduced as our opportunities allows, thereby we can consciously reduce the load of environment by decreasing the ever increasing speed of hydrocarbon exploitation. We take part in innovative European projects, examining the productivity and application of plastics which degrade in a biological way, helping the expansion of bio-based plastics which will have key importance in the future.
